The Iorio’s (pronounced “ee-or-ee-oes”) family immigrated to Philadelphia from Morrone del Sannio, Italy.  Early entrepreneurs, they built apartments, houses, & ran a general store.  In 2004, their great grandchildren decided to share their Italian culture, delivering sweetness to the world, in the form of artisan gelato & other Italian treats.

Gelato is an Italian frozen dessert made with milk, sugar, & real ingredients like nuts, chocolate, & fruit.  Though it resembles ice cream, gelato has less fat & more flavor than ice cream.  Our dairy free gelatos are made with fruit, water, & sugar for a smooth, creamy, &  healthy treat!

Granita is a light and refreshing semi-frozen dessert made with water, sugar, and fresh fruit.

All of our products are made with real ingredients, including fruit, nuts, spices, liqueurs, chocolates, coffees, tea, & more!  We use nothing artificial & local products when available.
